I always enjoy watching the replay from the Sunday Webinar at least once. On the second pass through I confirm I heard what I thought I’d heard during the original webinar, and clarify the details. Or alternatively correctly hear what I didn’t hear as well the first time.
What? No opinions? Then how are we supposed to leverage our Mastermind group? It seemed to me that my team’s Marco Polo group had finally gotten rolling, and then this “No Opinion” thing suddenly and dramatically put the brakes on it. Was this necessary? How can we “Mastermind” without opinions? That is what we are here to do after all. To hear and synthesize opinions of others, however we believe they may apply.
We are after all the foremost experts regarding ourselves, and much of the point is to share ourselves openly and let other people take it however best serves them. Isn’t it? We are ASKING for feedback.
What I gather from what Mark & Davene both had to say in illumination, is that the “no opinion” thing is trying to get us to be more open to other points of view while simultaneously not insisting on our own. This allows us to be more in the moment rather than operating out of our pre-programming, and thus also more open and empathic regarding the experiences of those around us. Awareness, listening, not preaching. Detaching from our attachments. Being non-judgmental. Opening room to notice more. Disconnecting our ego from the outcomes. Living the role of the observer. Being 100% present, and awareness of when we are not.
Thus it seems to me that sharing and encouraging one another even as we enjoy Viva la Difference and learn from each other by Masterminding should continue, because it is what we are there in the group to do. But perhaps in a more open and more gentle way than before if possible.
Our primary assignment this week is to take our DMP and add detail to the vision, in the form of a press release. The press release should be about an interview of ourselves that happens at some time in the future. We are interviewed by a third party of our choosing, as if we have already accomplished all that we are currently envisioning. This exercise has had a significant impact on me, making my vision for myself far more real than before. This is truly about “I can be what I will to be”. Programming the holodeck (Star Trek) experience which becomes my reality. The script for my personal movie. Not set in cement though, still flexible and open to modification.
We are what we have absorbed in the past, and then thought as a result. We will in the future become what we think today. Thus we may improve our future by changing how we think today, and tomorrow, and onward. Open to what is around us, but carefully filtering what we dwell on. Changing how we think to help us achieve our purpose in this life is what the MKE is about.
Also this week it is encouraged that we read Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay on “The Law of Compensation”. So I am sharing this YouTube video where that work is read. Mark J states that he thinks this is the most important thing ever written by anyone.
