MKE Week 7 – Challenges

WinterHighwaySince I volunteered to be part of this course, and I anticipate a superb outcome that will improve my life, assignments will get done. “Finish what one starts”, yes?

I’ve backslid some this week. The deadline for another blog post has arrived. Writing isn’t my thing, yet I seem to do a lot of it. An assignment is an assignment. I’ve read some blog posts by other students that show off their writing skills, and their ability to think deeply. Some of these are great, and I will repost some of them over time.

The Seven Day Mental diet is a challenge, and I bet no-one can complete it in just Seven days. Have a negative thought for more than a few seconds, and the timer starts over. This isn’t easy at all. Oops, there goes the timer again 😉

Here are the simple rules of the Seven Day Mental Diet:

  1. For a full seven days, you must not allow yourself to dwell on any negative thought.
  2. Whenever a negative thought enters your mind, you must let it go.
  3. If you do find that you have accepted a negative thought and allowed yourself to think about it for a period of time, even a minute, you have failed to keep yourself free of negative thoughts and you must stop the diet. After a period of time, start the seven days over again

I have to get a new computer. At ten years old, this one has served me well, but has started what appears to be a hardware failure “Blue Screen” reboot every time I start to get something productive done. I spend as much or more time rebooting than I do working.

I’ve been listening to the sessions at the Network Marketing SuperHeros and there is a lot of good stuff there. While Mark J resonates with me, there are some people that have presented in this online summit which I resemble more. It is good to hear what they’ve done to be successful in addition to the fact that they are using the same core principles.

Wednesday of next week, I start driving down the Alcan. That is a very long road. But I have things I must do down south. This means it will be more difficult to keep up with assignments. I’m just going to have to buck up and do them anyway.

Visit As for me, Google knows me so you can too. Knowing more about people by searching them is a good thing. It keeps them accountable. Honest people gain when other honorable people know more about them. There are far more honorable people in the world than there are the alternative, even if those do get a disproportionate amount of the attention. I believe that Love, not fear is humanity's future.
