Old is the New Young

close up photography of green leafed plantThe seed is placed carefully and lovingly into the hole in the black soil.  It’s covered up and watered gently.  The warmth of the sun beats down on the soil and warms the seed.  Slowly the outer shell of the seed breaks down, and roots start to reach down for what they need – nutrients in the soil.  At the same time, tendrils start to reach out from the top of the seed, yearning to break through the soil and soak up the nurturing rays of the sun.  Each part knows what to do, what it needs, and how to get it.  As the seed becomes a plant, the roots go deeper and the tendrils reach higher.  The little leaves begin to form and unfurl from the stem.  It is green and beautiful, reaching for its destiny.  The plant grows bigger and bigger, and the tender of the plant pours…
